In one of the saddest, most desperate examples of brainless “political correctness”, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told a young woman during a question and answer session at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Canada, not to use the word ‘mankind’ and instead to use ‘peoplekind’.
This man is apparently in charge of a whole country.
Having seen the #MeToo and #TimesUp campaigns largely pass him by, he must have been absolutely itching to do something to get himself noticed by the feminist camps again.
So, he must have got down on his knees and said an earnest prayer when a young woman from the World Mission of God, a non-denominational church guided by the ideals of ‘God the Mother’, stood up to ask him a question. ‘We came here today,’ she said, ‘to ask you to look into the policies that religious charitable organisations have in our legislation so it can also be changed because maternal love is the love that’s going to change the future of mankind….’
As soon as he’d heard the word, Trudeau raised his arm to interupt, ‘We like to see ‘peoplekind’,’ he declared, ‘not necessarily mankind. It’s more inclusive.’
‘There we go!’ she replied, her dreams evidently answered ‘Exactly!’
The crowd immediately cheered and applauded. Or to be more exact, the women in the crowd did. The men just looked bemused and stayed silent, probably doubting their own ears.
‘We can all learn from each other!’ Trudeau added, milking his audience for a little more applause.
In search of a popularity contest
Prime Minister Trudeau evidently likes the camera and isn’t shy of using photos to attract as much attention to himself as possible. He certainly seems like a man determined to win every possible popularity contest. His long-term ambition appears to be to win a Nobel Prize for being the world’s most PC-friendly, touchy-feely Prime Minister. He has marched at Canada’s Gay Pride, is pro-choice on abortion, pro legalizing marijuana and pro just about everything that’s dear to global liberals. He has even managed to call poverty ‘sexist’.
Please, will someone tell this example of ‘peoplekind’ that treating women as equals has absolutely sod all to do with playing pathetic word games.
